Mayflower II returned home this week after spending the winter at Mystic Seaport in Connecticut undergoing an extensive restoration. Another $8 million and two years of work are still needed to complete the 50-year-old ship’s overhaul.
Richard Pickering, Plimoth Plantation’s Deputy Executive Director, hopes that Mayflower II’s restoration will be completed in time for the 2020 commemoration, and we do too!
To help spread the word and educate the local community of the importance of this project, Plimoth Plantation announced that Mayflower II admission will be free to Plymouth residents this summer! We highly recommend that you take advantage of this opportunity, as she likely will not return to America’s Hometown next summer. Share your photos using #Mayflowerii
