Calling all amateur chefs! Plymouth 400 is searching for the best fish taco in town! The first ever Seafood Smackdown: Best Fish Taco contest opens Monday June 8th.
HOW TO ENTER:
Submit your official Seafood Smackdown entry to contest@plymouth400inc.org and include the following:
Open your cookbook! Send us your best fish taco recipe [read recipe and contest guidelines here] by 11:59pm on June 26th.
Get creative! Include in your entry a creative representation of your recipe. Here’s where we want you to show us your originality- send us a video, photo, drawing, poem, WHATEVER! We’ll post our favotites to our website & social media pages.
Tell your friends! Share your creative representation of your fish taco recipe on Facebook with the hashtag #SeafoodSmackdown and encourage your friends to join in the fun! The most popular #SeafoodSmackdown posts will earn extra points!
Wait with “BAITED” breath. All entries will be judged by Chef Ray Alongi, and the winners will be announced on Facebook on Wednesday July 8th. TWO finalists will be chosen to compete in the live Seafood Smackdown on July 11th!
PUT IT ALL “ON THE LINE” AT THE SEAFOOD SMACKDOWN.
The two contestants chosen by Chef Alongi will recreate their dishes in the official Seafood Smackdown at Pilgrim Memorial State Park on Saturday July 11, 2015 at 10am EST.
Chef Alongi will commentate as the two finalists go head-to-head cooking their fish tacos in Foodzilla, a full-service kitchen on wheels created and operated by Loretta LaRoche Productions.
A panel of celebrity judges, including Susannah Locketti, who was featured on Food Network Star, will judge the final two fish tacos and the winner will be announced live from Pilgrim Memorial State Park at 11am.

There will be plenty of family-friendly activities going on in addition to the Seafood Smackdown!
Are you a fishing fanatic? Enter into the Plymouth 400 Bass & Blue fishing tournament on July 11-12 and you could win up to $1,000 in prizes for the biggest catch of the day!
Love music? Check out Project Arts’ Plymouth Harbor Roots & Folk Festival at the Harbor Light Pavillion in Pilgrim Memorial State Park on July 11th for a full day of folk and Americana music that’s free for the entire family.
