Announcing the Plymouth 400 Postal Artwork Contest where artists and aspiring artists alike have the opportunity to develop the Official 2020 Commemorative Cachets.

What is a cachet?

A cachet is a design or inscription on an envelope to commemorate a historic event.

In past commemorations, official cachets were created to represent key moments in history. We’re asking YOU to help us create cachets for 2020! Plymouth 400, Inc. and the Plymouth Rock Stamp Club have partnered to run this Postal Artwork Contest. We encourage participation from people of all ages and locations as we commemorate the 400th anniversary of Plymouth Colony.

How do I participate?

  1. Download the Postal Artwork Contest Materials (see below for link).
  2. Review the Contest Themes
  3. Review the Categories and Age/Experience Levels
  4. Review the Contest Entry Rules and complete a Contest Entry Form
  5. Design your own original artwork
  6. Submit your design and completed contest entry form electronically to ArtContest@Plymouth400inc.org

Due to popular demand, the deadline to submit artwork has been extended to June 30, 2020. Artwork will be showcased at Illuminate Thanksgiving 2020.

Thank you. We can’t wait to see your artwork!
